Energy Efficient Halogen light bulbs

Halogen
The tungsten-halogen light is similar to an incandescent light in that it employs a tungsten filament in a gas-filled, light-transmitting envelope and emits the same type of light. The major differences are that a trace of halogen vapor  is added to the inert fill gas, the gas pressure and bulb temperature (250 C to 600 C) are much higher than in non-halogen lamp. The Halogen bulb is made of fused quartz, high-silica glass to withstand the high operating pressures and temperatures.
Color Temperature
There is a higher color temperature, 2800 K to 3400 K for standard halogen product.
Bulb Life
Halogen bulbs have a longer life cycle, Halogen light bulbs operate more efficiently than standard light bulbs. Halogen light bulbs are more expensive than standard incandescent light bulbs. However, the savings in energy far outweigh the additional cost.
Energy Efficient Halogen bulbs
IR and IR Plus PAR lamps offer substantial energy savings up to 30%, great color, and long life. These bulbs are available in Available in PAR20, PAR30, PAR30 LN and PAR38 lamps. Low Voltage Reflector Lamps TRU-AIM MR16 IR lamps encompass all the technological advances of standard MR16s with significant reduction in energy consumption. Bi-Pin IR, Low Voltage Halogen Lamps, these high luminous efficacy Bi-Pin IR lamps are the only low-voltage, infrared coated, bi-pin lamps in the industry.
